Berbatov Staying With Spurs - Says His Agent
Dimitar Berbatov's agent insists the striker will stay at Tottenham next season despite attracting the attention of numerous clubs.

The Bulgarian forward has already scored 19 goals in his first season at White Hart Lane.

Now Manchester United, the club he originally rejected in favour of Spurs, and Liverpool are among the English clubs believed to be glancing an envious eye over the striker.

Spurs are thought to have slapped a £40million price tag on Berbatov and while his agent, Emil Dantchev, admits there is interest, he is adamant his client will remain at White Hart Lane next season.

Dantchev said: "When a player has a good season it is normal that there is interest, but he has a good contract so it is not something to discuss and he will be at least next season at Tottenham, too."

The 26-year-old was courted by United before he joined Tottenham as Sir Alex Ferguson looked for a replacement for Dutch striker Ruud van Nistelrooy.

But Berbatov remained loyal to Spurs who had tried to sign him the previous season but found the asking price too high.

The north London club maintained their interest in the player and it paid off when he decided he could not wait for United any longer and joined up with Martin Jol at Spurs.

Meanwhile Spurs keeper Paul Robinson has described their defeat by Chelsea in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup at White Hart Lane as "devastating".

Spurs were beaten by goals from Andriy Shevchenko and Shaun Wright-Phillips even though Robbie Keane scored a late consolation goal from the penalty spot.

Robinson said: "It was quiet in the changing room, everyone was bitterly disappointed. We all felt we were on top and didn't get what we deserved.

"Look at the bigger picture though. We reached the semi-finals of the Carling Cup and the quarter-finals of the FA Cup and we've been beaten by Arsenal and Chelsea.

"We're still in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Cup and we've put ourselves back in a great position in the league. There is so much still to play for."

Wir hatten die Wahl zwischen 15 Millionen und gar nix.

Das erste Video unterstreicht nochmal wie geil der einfach ist.

Shevshenko ist bei Chelsea derzeit nix gegen ihn, da kann auch kein Marktwert oder sonstwas dagegensprechen.

Einfach nur hammer der Junge, was hätten wir hier noch ne Menge Freude mit ihm gehabt

stimmt.....er könnte doch auf nen besseren verein als tottenhame(Kotz) warten... :LEV15....dann hätten wir ihn länger =P..tottenham is auch net viel besser als wir...ich kann berbo net verstehn :LEV9...läppische 15mio.....wir hätten mehr bekommen MÜSSEN.....*ARGH*..ich rege mich auf^^ und bin immer noch traurig.
