Manchester United are set to make Rene Adler’s dream come true by triggering a £15million get-out clause.
The 25 year-old Bayer Leverkusen goalie is such an avid United fan he insisted on a release clause if the Reds came in for him.
Sir Alex Ferguson has been monitoring Adler all season as he looks for a top-class replacement for Edwin van der Sar – and now Leverkusen are bracing themselves for the bid that will take the German international to United.
Leverkusen have been trying to persuade Adler to sign a new contract, with just 18 months left on his current agreement.
