After Milan, Palmeiras denies negotiations with Leverkusen for Agustín Giay
-Palmeiras turned down a new bid from a European club for right-back Agustín Giay. After Milan had a proposal refused, now the Alviverde board has denied opening negotiations with Bayer Leverkusen, from Germany.
-UOL found that Leverkusen did not even signal values, so 'ready' was the refusal of Palmeiras. Last week, UOL had already revealed that Milan took a proposal of 15 million euros (practically R$ 95 million) for the Argentine.
-Napoli and Benfica are added to those interested in the player. Both made contacts for Giay before the Club World Cup in July. And Palmeiras closed, once again, the doors to any negotiation.
-To UOL, sources linked to the club's top management guarantee that Giay is not for sale. The word is to 'shield' the 21-year-old player from the interest of the outside.
-Hired last year, Giay signed with Palmeiras until December 2029. The Argentine does not have a termination clause in his bond.
